Father, oilman, and entrepreneur that likes to do interesting things at the intersection of computer science and oil and gas, Evan is co-founder and Captain of the oseberg crew.

Before oseberg, and as a result of a family tragedy, Evan was given the opportunity to manage an independent oil and gas company. This experience awakened Evan to the opportunity to change how the oil and gas industry leveraged data and computer science.

A man of many interests, Evan spent his formative years in dive bars catching live musicians, brushing back batters with his two-seamer (unintentionally, of course), and studying genetics, law, and policy at Duke University. Outside of work, you may find the southpaw mountain biking, trail running, fly fishing, felling trees, rolling hills, making some of the best grilled cheese sandwiches in the whole Midwest (the secret's in the cheese), or teaching one of his three “grasshoppers” how to make a fastball rise.
